3rd Grade Teacher (25-26)
Certified teacher for the 25-26 school year.

Duties
Teaches District approved curriculum.
Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Plans a program of study, employing a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules.
Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects to communicate these objectives to students.
Assists in diagnosing the learning disabilities of students, with the assistance of district specialists.
Evaluates academic and social growth of students, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports.
Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
Remains available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day, such as parent teacher conferences.
Performs all other duties reasonably related to position as may be assigned by Building Administrator or Superintendent
Qualifications
Hold an IL Professional Educator License (PEL) for elementary education as required by the State.

Special Education Paraprofessional
The Special Education Paraprofessional will work closely with students with disabilities under the supervision of a certified Special Education teacher. The role involves providing individualized assistance to students, supporting classroom activities, and helping to implement educational programs and plans designed to meet students’ unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist students with disabilities in accessing and engaging with the curriculum, following their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Provide one-on-one or small group support in academic and behavioral tasks.
Support students in managing behavior and maintaining focus during classroom activities.
Assist with personal care needs, including but not limited to, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
Help reinforce learning concepts through various instructional methods (e.g., repetition, visual aids, hands-on activities).
Monitor and record student progress, behavior, and any other relevant information, and share with the supervising teacher.
Implement strategies to support students in social interactions, communication, and daily routines.
Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other school staff to ensure a cohesive and inclusive educational environment.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school district policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
Education:
Must hold or be able to obtain a Paraprofessional License (Type 39) through ISBE
To be eligible for a Type 39 Paraprofessional License, you must have one of the following requirements:
Have completed at least 60 semester hours of college coursework OR earned and Associate Degree or Higher
High School Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Parapro exam.
High School Diploma or GED and the following scores on the ACT Workkeys:
Applied Mathematics/Applied Math (with a score of 4)
Reading for information/Workplace Documents (with a score of 4)
Other Requirements
Experience: Experience working with children with disabilities, preferably in an educational setting.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Other Requirements: Must pass a background check. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (or willing to obtain).
