5th Grade Survival Skills in Action! Our students had a blast learning and exploring nature: building shelters, using a compass, starting fires, and hiking.








KS learned all about the different parts of a pumpkin this afternoon! 🧡

Today, both ag classes met with State FFA President, Trenton Payne, Section 17 President, Karley Putnam, and Section 17 Secretary, Grace Morris. They worked on developing their own mission statements.


Congratulations to our 5th Grade Band on their first performance! 🎶🎺🥁
Playing in the band is harder than it looks, as many families & relatives proved for the encore 😆

Many authors, including our speaker yesterday, Tameka Fryer Brown, will be appearing at the University of Illinois' Youth Literature Festival tomorrow October 3rd at the Campus Instructional Facility in Urbana. There will be authors speaking, book signings, music, puppet shows, hands on activities and lots of fun for the whole family! See the link for more information.

For day two of Spirit Week, FGS is celebrating with Twin Day!

FHS students attended a construction workshop at Parkland College today. It was a great opportunity to learn more about HVAC, sheet metal work, electrical, and hydraulics as well as possible career paths in these important industries! #WeAreFisher
